Trico Engineering Consultants, Inc.'s Surveying Division in Charleston consists of four Professional Surveyors, fourteen survey crews, (5 crew chiefs and 1 instrument man have college degrees) and a technical support staff consisting of six personnel (3 of which have college degrees).
Trico has provided forensic surveys, creek surveys, boundary surveys and topographical surveys for developers, property owners, attorneys, agencies and other engineering firms. Our staff has completed approximately 30 as-built surveys in Charleston County and the Town of Mount Pleasant and has provided and continues to provide surveying at the Oakridge Landfills in both Dorchester and Georgetown Counties. We have also provided construction surveying for Gulfstream Construction Company, OL Thompson Construction Company, Sanders Brothers Construction Company, Cooper River Construction, Banks Construction, Centex Homes and Beazer Homes, to name a few.
Trico has recently expanded their established survey services to include a wide range of GPS and GPS related services. The addition of Real-Time GPS equipment, along with 11 years of satellite positing experience, has brought Trico to the forefront of the latest in the ever-changing technical breakthroughs in the Survey Industry.
Trico is also able to provide Real-Time Positioning services for hydrographic needs. The interfacing of Real-Time GPS equipment to precision acoustic equipment, coupled with a real-time navigation software package, has expanded Trico's survey services to now include hydrographic surveys for bathymetry, sub-surface anomaly location, and route positioning for pipelines, or cable lays.
We also offer tree identification services by our two staff certified arborits as well as soil testing for septic tank location by a staff specialist.
